Tour of Tuscany (Day 2)

Table of contents
From Pievepelago to Firenzuola, the road goes up and down without interruption. And that’s an understatement. A day at almost 4000m of elevation gain, without passing a single pass, is already a considerable achievement. Fortunately, the terraces open their arms to the arrival of the cyclists, which is not to be refused. Cheers !

Start from Pievepelago

This course is mountainous, to say one thing. 137km long, the bumps follow one another at a frantic pace. At the end of the day, the impression of having climbed a pass is not usurped, so difficult is the course.

Firenzuola

Firenzuola is a very small town, located 40km from Florence. It does not lack charm. Its central square and narrow streets have kept their medieval character. There are plenty of stores under the arcades, as well as restaurants and bars, most of which have terraces.
