The Ring of Kerry
From Tralee, I could have chosen to go for a loop in Dingle County and the town of the same name, but time was running out, so I preferred to go straight down south to Killorglin and join the coast via Waterville, before reaching Kenmare. The road to reach Waterville is not an easy one. It is part of the Ring of Kerry. It is perhaps the most difficult I have ever had to take. The elevation gain is not very important, but the bumps follow one after the other. Nevertheless, it’s really worth it to take a look at the coastal road.
Kenmare
From Waterville, we follow the Kenmare River to the town of the same name. It is the largest city in this corner of the county. Many tourists stop there to eat or to sleep. I did the same. There are excellent pubs. The facades of the houses are nicely colored.
End of this 8th stage, quite tiring, especially because of the wind. But Kenmare, with its numerous pubs, opens us the appetite. Really welcoming city that I advise you to visit.
