Morocco is well known for the beauty of its landscapes, its cities, its souks, its desert and its mountains. But when you come from Switzerland, the mountains can appear ridiculous. Well it is not the case with the Moroccan Atlas, whose Toubkal culminates anyway at more than 4000m. And why not to do it by mountain bike?
Prague, the city of a hundred spires, is really worth a visit for a weekend. Well known for its Charles Bridge, Prague has a beautiful old town center. It is really nice to stroll in its colorful streets, to drink a coffee on a terrace while listening to street music or to go for a walk along the Vlatava river.
Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Andes, reaches 6961m above sea level. The Aconcagua is located in Argentina, in the province of Mendoza. It is in December 2008, just before the end of the year holidays, that this beautiful adventure took place, between high mountains and wild nature of the south.
Nepal, country of trekking by principle. When Nepal is mentioned, it is often about Everest, the highest mountain in the world. But Nepal is also Kathmandu, its culture, its temples, its wealth. Nepal is also all those smiles on the faces, this crowded anthill, the farmers with their yaks on the steep paths. Nepal is also the communion with Buddha, the prayers, the haunting chorus. In short, Nepal has so much to offer that it would be difficult to summarize the country in one travel.
Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador in a single travel made in 2001 with my girlfriend. Three vast countries covered in shorts hops from Lima in Peru, passing by the famous Machu Picchu, to Bolivia and its capital, La Paz. Finally, to join Quito by plane, to play leapfrog on the line of the equator.
Singapore, a city-state, has no less than 5 million inhabitants on a very small territory. On the contrary, the density of Malaysia counts less than 100 inhabitants per km2. The difference between the two countries is disconcerting. If Singapore and Kuala Lumpur offer a western-style modernism, the great majority of Malaysia has remained wild, like the highlands of Cameron and the jungle of Taman Negara
Madagascar is an island with a thousand facets. From the mountains of the high plateau where the capital Tananarive is located to the seaside in Tulear, the landscapes offer a great variation of colors. Tananarive is a jewel in the middle of the ocean which hosts a quantity of flora unique in the world.
Go to Mexico, a country with a rich history and culture. Whether it is the Mayan ruins, the Spanish colonization, the paradisiacal islands, the gastronomy halfway between the local and European cultures, Mexico has something to please you. By bus or by car, Mexico can be visited very easily.
