Tour of Tuscany (Day 1)

Pisa is a good starting point. It is the capital of Tuscany and is well known for its leaning tower, which is not without interest. On the program of this first day in Italy, the passing of the Arno to leave the city, the crossing of the city of Lucca, and some 100km to finish in the charming city of Pievepelago

Tour of Ireland (Day 14)

County Wicklow is less than an hour's drive from Dublin, it is a beautiful area with its lakes. An interesting place to visit is Lake Glendalough, a paradise for hikers.

Tour of Ireland (Day 13)

The road between Tinahely and Dublin will take two days. It's raining...I stopped a little before the Glendalough area where I went in 2016 to hike. My choice was the small village of Rathdrum.

Tour of Ireland (Day 12)

We enter the county of Wicklow, an area much appreciated by hikers for its wilderness. Located at only 1 hour drive south of Dublin, it is the favorite county of the inhabitants of the capital to come and recharge their batteries on weekends. Many inhabitants have second homes there. It is not uncommon to see cyclists, joggers, as well as fishermen in the Glendalough hole.

Tour of Ireland (Day 11)

Small 54km stage to Kilkenny. The city, well known for its (almost) artisanal beer, but still exported. The little sister of the big Guinness has more bitterness to my taste. But Kilkenny is also a medieval city, with a beautiful castle.

The road to Cashel takes us out of the noisy traffic of the city of Cork and leads us to the seaside before heading north up into the hills.

Tour of Ireland (Day 9)

A crossing from east to west, from the countryside to the city, from the quiet to a big noisy city, Cork. And a small return in my prime youth awaited me at the end of the stage.

Tour of Ireland (Day 8)

The Ring of Kerry is a 180km long tourist loop. The coast is particularly beautiful, especially on the Waterville side. The town of Kenmare, the goal of this stage, is perched at the end of the river of the same name, and offers a nice view of the whole region. It is dynamic and has a good number of pubs where beer is never refused after a long bike ride.

Tour of Ireland (Day 7)

A long transition stage between the cliffs of Moher in the north and the industrial south of Ireland and its capital Cork. We cross the counties of Clare and Kerry, separated by a ferry.

Tour of Ireland (Day 6)

One of the most beautiful stages of the tour with on the program the island of Irishmore and the cliffs of Moher. Not many km, and it is so much the better, because we gladly take the time to stop to admire the beauty of the landscape.

Tour of Ireland (Day 5)

The lakes of Connemara, we all know that it is in Ireland and we can thank Michel Sardou for having made us dream of it in his beautiful song which trots still and always in our heads. But to go to see the Connemara lakes in real life, moreover by bike, in total freedom and without constraints, it's much better. And the ride is worth it.
