The Gate of Murten
The walk starts every evening at 6:00 pm and continues until 10:00 pm. The entrance is located at the Murten Gate, an old medieval tower that today serves as a clock. This is where the first show takes place. A breathtaking sound and light laser show. You never get tired of seeing it and seeing it again.
Cinema of paintings on facades
A little further up the streets of Murten, you can see buildings covered with paintings. But if you get a little closer, you will notice that the facades are actually video images. They move and come to life. The effect is very nice. We have the impression to be in the middle of a movie with screens in cinemascope on 360°.
Eggs of light in the trees
Near the castle, we come across a small alley where the trees have been decorated with pretty colorful balls. One could think it is Easter and see the rabbit appearing.
Facades of the castle
Just behind, we can see the facades of the castle where a pattern of lights seems to be trying to catch itself by playing chase. The effect is very successful and also gives beautiful pictures.
Illuminated fountains
In Murten, during the Festival of Lights, everything lends itself to the visual experience, even the most unusual objects. This makes the place magical and fills us with wonder as we pass by.
Theatrical performance
At the end of the walk, we leave the city to see the theater that will end this nice night walk. All the buildings serve as projection screens and real actors mix with the set to tell you a story. All the elements start to shine.
